- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I am writing this review to share the dreadful experience and prevent others from having to go through what I have had to endure at Aguiar Plastic Surgery. I had a breast implant exchange with Dr. Aguiar on 3/15/17. From my first post surgery follow up appointment I expressed my concerns with the appearance of my left breast and the burning, stabbing pain I was experiencing. Each time I mentioned it I was told I needed to give it some time to heal and it would most likely resolve itself. It is now July. I have been to my 3 month post op appointment. At the appointment Dr. Aguiar finally agreed with me that the left breast was noticeably lower than the right one & that there is rippling in both breasts. Dr. Aguiar now says that another surgery will be necessary to correct everything. He offered his services at no charge but I would still be responsible for an implant fee, surgery center fee and anesthesia fee. I needed some time to process this information. How do you trust a doctor to do a second surgery for you when he couldn’t get it right the first time? Since last week I have been contacting their office daily, trying to get through to speak to Dr. Aguiar’s office manager. I have contacted Dr. Aguiar’s office at least 6 times either via email or phone calls but no one will get back to me. On one occasion, I was told by the nurse that the office manager was given my message but “she must have forgot to call you.” From the beginning I was treated with unprofessional behavior and lack of concern. I am still, to this day, experiencing debilitating pain at times that causes a disruption to my daily livelihood.
